INGREDIENTS
RICE FLOUR

1 CUP

WATER
|
1 & 1/4 CUP
|
SESAME OIL
|
1 TSP
|
COCONUT
|
2-3 TBLSP
|
MUSTARD SEEDS
|
1/2 TSP
|
URAD DHALL
|
1 TSP
|
COCONUT OIL
|
1/2 TSP
|
CHILLY POWDER
|
1-2 TSP
|
CURRY LEAVES
|
FEW
|
SALT
|
1/2 TSP
|
METHOD
- Boil the water by adding salt and sesame oil .
- When the water comes to a rolling boil
- Slowly add the water to the flour and just mix with a spoon.
- This should be of a smooth like dough consistency.
- When it is warm knead it with your hands and adding 1/2 tsp of sesame oil.
- Cover the dough with a moist cloth to avoid dryness.
- Grease your hands with oil and make a small size balls out of the rice flour dough.
- Grease idli plates and steam these balls for 10 minutes in medium flame.
- Now Heat a pan and add the coconut oil. (Other oils can also be used)
- Temper with mustard seeds/ Urad dhall / Red chilies/Asafotida
- Add the steamed balls
- Add red chilly powder and add required salt (Remember salt is already added to the dough)
- Add crapped coconut and coriander leaves.
